I hope that all those that paid a visit to the selected gardens, and those that opened there gardens enjoyed there day.
As far as my wife and I are concerned it was a smashing day, it is always a privilidge to open our garden, you meet so many nice people with lots of gardening questions, we have opened our garden since the first open day, my wife is already planning for 2010
For those that due to the committment of the day would like to visit our garden you would be made very welcome, we will even threw in a cuppa, and a pastry.
Happy Gardening

Thank you for those kind comments and for opening your garden for Orsett in Bloom. So glad you enjoyed your day. It was certainly a good year, with a lot of people visiting the village, though garden passport sales were slightly down on average. (Recession? Weather?)
As you know, GO Day is Orsett in Bloom's biggest fundraiser and generates between a third and half our annual income, so the support of all our garden openers, helpers and visitors is both vital and very much appreciated.
Thanks once again. |
